Constellation Home Has Partnered With Sunrun!

Look around any neighborhood and you’re bound to see it. People everywhere are going solar. Let Constellation Home and Sunrun show you how installing solar panels can help you become more energy independent and save money. It’s never been easier to make the switch to solar power, and now you can take advantage of Sunrun’s flexible financing options and potential federal, state and local tax incentives.

Installing solar panels on your roof not only provides a cleaner, more efficient source of energy, it also allows you to decrease the amount of energy you purchase from the grid. Plus, if you live in a state with net metering type laws and your solar panels produce more electricity than your home actually uses, you could get a credit from your utility.

In recent years, the cost of going solar has greatly decreased, so there’s never been a better time to switch. Plus, through our partnership with Sunrun, you can be assured that your new system will be installed by experienced, industry-leading solar experts.

How Do Solar Panels Work?

  1. Solar panels are made of photovoltaic cells that capture sunlight and turn it into direct current electricity (DC electricity). This happens whenever sun rays are hitting your solar panels, rain or shine.
  2. The inverter converts the DC electricity into alternating current electricity, or AC electricity, to be used by your home.
  3. The Sunrun system includes a meter that monitors the amount of electricity produced by the solar panels and notifies Sunrun if there is a problem.
  4. Your home will be equipped with an electric service panel, which helps the flow of electricity from the solar panels — powering necessities such as lights and appliances.
  5. Depending on which option you choose, you may purchase the system up-front, or have Sunrun retain ownership of the system while you purchase the output on a per kWh basis through a power purchase agreement.
  6. Energy produced by the solar panels that isn’t used by your home is returned to the electricity grid. When you use less electricity than the solar panel system produces, you may receive credit from your local utility.

Going Solar Is Easy

  1. Talk to a solar expert – Our experienced solar consultants can answer any of your questions and start you on your way to going solar.
  2. Design Approval – Sunrun takes care of submitting your solar design to the city or county for review and approval. Once all permits are provided, your system can be installed.
  3. Final inspection – A final inspection will take place by the local authorities.
  4. Connecting to the grid – The local utility will then install a net meter, which connects the Sunrun solar panel system to the electricity grid.
